Tested to perfection 

To offer our clients the highest acquirable quality, all of our products undergo rigorous testing to improve all possibly occurring imperfections. The Salmon shrouding blanket is no exception, therefore a sample of the blanket was sent to the Electrotechnical Testing Institute (EZÚ) in the middle of July 2024 to be tested for an array of properties in order to be officially proclaimed IEC 61112:2009 certified according to class 0. Class 0 blankets are designed for protection against lower voltage levels compared to higher classes, making them suitable for use in environments with lower electrical hazards.

All of our Electrical insulating blankets and matting have been approved via EZÚ since 2014 because it is the leading testing company not only in Czechia and Slovakia but around the globe, as they have worked with partners from 48 countries from all over the world. Among other criteria according to the IEC 61112:2009 standard, our new 1mm thick blanket was tested for 6 weeks for:

  1. Dielectric Strength: For Class 0, the maximum use voltage is generally up to 1,000 volts AC. The dielectric test verifies that the blanket can provide safe insulation at this voltage level.
  2. Mechanical Strength: tensile strength and tear resistance. This ensures they can endure physical stress and manipulation during routine use, providing consistent protection without damage.
  3. Acid and Oil Resistance: crucial for maintaining their insulating properties in environments where they might come into contact with such substances. The standard requires the blankets to be exposed to these chemicals and then subjected to a withstand test to ensure no loss in insulation capability.
  4. Low-Temperature Performance: must remain flexible and maintain their insulating properties at low temperatures. This is essential for use in outdoor settings or cold environments, where the blanket's material could become brittle or less effective.
  5. Electrode Specifications: The standard defines the types of electrodes used in the dielectric proof test for Class 0 blankets. This ensures consistent testing procedures across different manufacturers, guaranteeing that the blankets meet the necessary safety standards.
  6. Size and Marking Requirements: The minimum size requirements and markings for Class 0 blankets ensure they provide adequate coverage and can be easily identified. The blankets are marked with their class (Class 0) and other relevant information, such as the maximum use voltage, to guide proper usage.
