BOGU(M)MA on Collaboration with MMA Fighter Vlasto Čepo - Supporting Sports Remains Our Priority

At BOGUMA, we specialize in the production of various rubber products, often tailored to the specific needs of our clients. From flooring coverings to electrical insulation and supplying floors to sports centers and hockey arenas, our rubber primarily serves to protect its users. Our motto, "Choose safety, choose BOGUMA," speaks for itself, and it's no surprise that we strive to turn this idea into reality in Slovak and international spaces, whether it's workplaces with high voltage, sports stadiums, or regular production halls.

Now, however, we want to share our efforts to increase safety in sports through collaboration with a mindful athlete who inspires many others to achieve their athletic goals. Vlasto Čepo, a well-known Slovak MMA fighter, is a great example that combat sports can be done safely with the right conditions and mindset. In this article, we'll reveal why we decided to collaborate with Vlasto and what our partnership entails.

Moving forward: Developing a professional relationship

Last week, we met with Vlasto Čepo to discuss how to further develop our professional relationship. This discussion wasn't solely about sponsorship. We had the opportunity for an open conversation where we expressed mutual trust and respect for our crafts, even though they may seem incompatible at first glance.

So why did we decide to collaborate with an MMA fighter? In the past, we've had the opportunity to support several sports events in our community, including a ping pong club in Bošany, the development of Baťa trails in Partizánske, and last but not least, the hockey club in Nitra. All of the aforementioned sports organizations (aside from operating in our region) actively focus on youth development.

However, as we always strive to move forward, we didn't hesitate to expand our collaboration on a broader scale. For us, sports are not just about entertainment but primarily about pushing the boundaries of mental and physical capacity and inspiring people. We do everything we can to help people engage in sports safely, thanks to our rubber products. And it's this idea that led us to Vlasto Čepo.

Who is Vlasto Čepo?

Vlasto "ElChapo" Čepo is a long-standing member of the MMA community in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. His impressive performances in the ring have contributed to his invaluable position in the Oktagon organization, where he first appeared in 2020. Since then, he has consistently faced top opponents and always performs well. Out of his 39 matches (SHERDOG statistics), he has secured 30 victories, continuously pushing the boundaries of his strength and endurance. Outside the ring, he's a great person, a father of a two-year-old son who gives him strength for further challenges. His partner, Lucia Krajčovič, also a former fighter, is his greatest support.

Plans for collaboration

During our collaboration, we will support Vlasto in several areas, assist him with preparations for his fights, and training camps, and continue to promote safe sports in Slovakia through our products, especially in fitness centers.

The entire team at BOGUMA s.r.o. is excited about the new collaboration with Vlasto Čepo. We believe this project will bring us mutual success and look forward to further developing our partnership. We are proud to be part of Vlasto's journey and to contribute to his successes.

"I have been following MMA for a long time, especially the Oktagon MMA organization. I perceive how this sport and the organization itself are gaining popularity, which has long surpassed the Central European region. This has resulted in Slovak gyms and fitness centers attracting more and more new members, including youth who, under the guidance of experienced coaches, become more mature and stronger. One of the top faces of this organization is Vlasto, who, with his determination, progress, and personal story, has inspired many others. I see him as a highly intelligent, charismatic person who knows exactly what he wants to achieve in life and goes for it. I'm glad we can be part of the journey of what I consider to be a future champion of Oktagon and I believe, later, a participant in the UFC (the most significant MMA organization in the world). And even though Vlasto recently suffered a loss in the title fight for the interim middleweight champion (29.12. in Prague lost by TKO to Polish fighter Piotr Wawrzyniak), I believe he will come out of it even stronger than before. With Vlasto, we will prepare a project for fitness centers with the development of our products directly for the conditions of fighters."
